Today we feature Kim, our head seamstress and creator of our signature weighted animal line, who always has something interesting on the machine. Right around Christmas, she started fiddling with some light green cuddle. Before you could say “This is the way” she had made this soft and snuggly Mini Yoda.
After working out some kinks in the pattern and design it’s ready for you to try at home. This step-by-step video tutorial makes it easy to follow along for kids and beginners.
Though our Mini Yodas are made with cuddle, this pattern can be made with leftover fleece, old t-shirts, towels, etc. Anything with two-way stretch. that means it can stretch up and down not up, down and side-to-side.
For projects like this, we stuff them with leftover poly-fill from our signature weighted animals but you can also use scrap fabric or even those single socks that you’ll never find the match for.
You can download the pattern below. It prints off on one 8.5×11 sheet of paper.
